- 1 cup wild rice makes 3 cups cooked
- 4 cups water
Take 1 cup wild rice in a sieve and rinse it under running water.Soak it in a pan for 30 mins in 3 cups of water.Drain the water after 30 mins. Add 4 cups water to the pan for cooking.Place on medium flame in a pan, uncovered.Check in 15 mins and taste a few grains, they should be soft. If not let it cook for 5 more mins.Cooking times may vary, please check the packaging for specific instructions.Drain the excess water by sieving.Cover the pan and let stand for 10 mins.Fluff with a fork and it is ready for use.
