Summer is synonymous with melons, peaches, and berries and a smoothie is a great way to use fresh berries. I use yogurt for berry smoothies as I enjoy the creaminess and also the protein and probiotic boost to my gut health.
Step by Step
- Wash 1 cup fresh blueberries (or frozen) and place in a blender.
- Add 1 banana, peeled and chopped.
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt and 1/4 cup water.
- Adding a sweetener is optional. I did not add any but you can add 2 tsp sugar or honey.
- Blend all together, pour in 2 glasses and serve cold.
- Breakfast is served!
