Blueberry Banana Smoothie

Another delicious and simple smoothie to start your day right. Blueberries and bananas are a great duo and between the two of them they deliver a punch loaded with vitamins and potassium. This pair is famously used in breads, cakes, bars, muffins, etc. It is a proven and winning taste so please don’t hesitate to try this out.

Summer is synonymous with melons, peaches, and berries and a smoothie is a great way to use fresh berries. I use yogurt for berry smoothies as I enjoy the creaminess and also the protein and probiotic boost to my gut health.

Step by Step

  1. Wash 1 cup fresh blueberries (or frozen) and place in a blender.
  2. Add 1 banana, peeled and chopped.
  3. 1 cup plain Greek yogurt and 1/4 cup water.
  4. Adding a sweetener is optional. I did not add any but you can add 2 tsp sugar or honey.
  5. Blend all together, pour in 2 glasses and serve cold.
  6. Breakfast is served!
